Quick Care Summary

• Lighting: Low to moderate lighting
• Flow: Low to moderate varied flow
• Placement: Lower to middle reef areas
• Temperament: Generally peaceful but can spread
• Care Level: Beginner to Moderate

Lighting

Use low to moderate lighting. Acclimate gradually to the intended intensity, then observe polyp response before making further lighting changes.

Flow

Provide low to moderate varied flow. Enough movement helps keep the colony clear, while overly forceful direct flow should be avoided.

Placement

Place it in lower to middle reef areas. Position each plug securely and allow time for gradual light acclimation after introduction.

Temperament

Plan room for spreading. Zoanthids are generally peaceful, but colonies can expand onto nearby rockwork and may crowd neighboring corals over time.

Feeding

Feeding is usually optional. Some colonies accept fine foods, which can be offered sparingly as part of normal reef maintenance.

General Care

Maintain stable reef conditions and watch for changes in polyp extension or appearance. Handle zoanthids carefully, using appropriate eye and skin protection when moving, mounting, or maintaining the plugs.

Secure the plugs, allow space to spread, and adjust only gradually.
