Hellfire torch Euphyllia Coral - Care Requirements
Hellfire torch Euphyllia Coral is a Euphyllia torch coral with long, flowing polyps and glowing tips. This WYSIWYG LPS torch coral brings the distinctive movement associated with Euphyllia to a reef aquarium. Its Hellfire presentation and flowing tentacles make it best suited to a carefully planned placement with room from neighboring corals.
This is a WYSIWYG coral, meaning the coral shown in the photo is the exact piece you will receive.
Quick Care Summary

-
Flow: Moderate, indirect and varied flow
-
Placement: Lower to middle reef areas
-
Temperament: Aggressive
-
Care Level: Moderate
Lighting
Provide moderate lighting. Acclimate gradually to its intended intensity, especially when moving it into a brighter established reef, and watch for how the polyps respond.
Flow
Use moderate, indirect, varied flow. The tentacles should move gently rather than being held rigidly in one direction; avoid strong direct flow that can stress the coral.
Placement
Place it in a lower to middle reef area. Start with a secure position and allow time to adjust before relocating, keeping its long tentacles clear of nearby rockwork and corals.
Temperament
Give this aggressive coral generous spacing. Torch corals have stinging potential, so do not place it where extended tentacles can reach neighboring corals, particularly other fleshy LPS.
Feeding
Offer occasional meaty foods if desired. Feeding is optional; use appropriately sized foods and avoid overfeeding so excess food does not collect around the coral.
General Care
Maintain stable reef conditions, with particular attention to salinity and alkalinity, and avoid sudden changes. Observe tentacle extension, tissue condition, and response to light and flow after any adjustment. Make changes gradually rather than altering several conditions at once.
Plan its spacing carefully and let its placement settle before making further changes.
