Quick Care Summary

• Lighting: Low to moderate lighting
• Flow: Low to moderate varied flow
• Placement: Lower to middle reef areas
• Temperament: Generally peaceful but can spread
• Care Level: Beginner to Moderate

Lighting

Use low to moderate lighting. Acclimate the plug gradually to its final intensity to help the zoanthids adjust without sudden light stress.

Flow

Provide low to moderate, varied flow. Gentle movement helps keep the colony clear of debris without directing a harsh stream at the polyps.

Placement

Place it in the lower to middle reef areas. Start with a secure location, then adjust placement gradually if lighting or flow needs refinement.

Temperament

Allow room for the colony to spread over time. Zoanthids are generally peaceful, but their growth can crowd nearby corals if the plug is placed too closely.

Feeding

Feeding is usually optional. Some colonies may accept fine foods, but stable reef conditions remain the main priority.

General Care

Maintain stable reef conditions and observe polyp opening after introduction or placement changes. Acclimate lighting gradually, and handle zoanthids carefully with appropriate eye and skin protection during fragging, moving, or maintenance.

Secure the plug with space for future colony spread.
