WD Acropora Coral - Care Requirements

WD Acropora Coral is an Acropora small-polyp stony coral suited to advanced reef care. This WYSIWYG Acropora coral is an SPS coral for reef keepers prepared to provide strong lighting, turbulent water movement, and consistently stable conditions. Its care needs are best met in a mature, closely monitored reef aquarium.

This is a WYSIWYG coral, meaning the coral shown in the photo is the exact piece you will receive.

Quick Care Summary

• Lighting: Strong reef lighting
• Flow: Strong, random and turbulent flow
• Placement: Middle to upper reef areas after acclimation
• Temperament: Generally peaceful but space for growth
• Care Level: Advanced

Lighting

Provide strong reef lighting after a gradual acclimation period. Consistent light intensity supports this Acropora coral, while abrupt changes in exposure should be avoided.

Flow

Use strong, random, turbulent flow that reaches the branches from changing directions. Avoid low-flow or stagnant areas where detritus can settle.

Placement

Place it in middle to upper reef areas once acclimated to the aquarium's lighting and flow. Secure the frag where it can receive open, changing circulation.

Temperament

Allow room for growth around this generally peaceful coral. Maintain spacing from neighboring corals so branches have space and do not become crowded as the colony develops.

Feeding

Rely primarily on strong lighting for support, with fine coral foods offered optionally. Feed carefully and avoid creating excess nutrient buildup.

General Care

Maintain highly stable alkalinity, salinity, temperature, nutrients, and lighting. This advanced SPS coral benefits from regular observation and gradual adjustments; avoid rapid parameter corrections or sudden changes to light and flow.

Best suited to a stable reef system with attentive, advanced care.
