Quick Care Summary

• Lighting: Low to moderate lighting
• Flow: Low, indirect flow
• Placement: Lower reef areas or protected rockwork
• Temperament: Generally peaceful but can spread
• Care Level: Beginner to Moderate

Lighting

Use low to moderate lighting. Acclimate gradually to brighter conditions, as abrupt lighting increases can stress the coral and limit normal disc expansion.

Flow

Provide low, indirect flow. Avoid strong direct current, which can keep the disc from expanding normally and may prevent it from settling comfortably.

Placement

Place it in lower reef areas or on protected rockwork. Give the coral time to adjust after placement and observe its expansion before changing light or flow.

Temperament

Keep it with appropriate space from nearby corals. Mushroom corals are generally peaceful, but they can spread over surrounding rockwork and gradually claim available room.

Feeding

Feeding is usually optional. It may accept occasional small foods, but stable conditions and suitable lighting and flow remain the main priorities.

General Care

Maintain stable aquarium conditions and make adjustments gradually. Watch for normal disc expansion, then refine placement only if needed. Avoid abrupt lighting changes and direct flow, and allow room for future spread on the rockwork.

A practical soft coral choice for a protected lower-reef placement.
