Quick Care Summary

• Lighting: Low to moderate lighting
• Flow: Moderate, varied flow
• Placement: Lower to middle reef areas with growth room
• Temperament: Generally peaceful but can overgrow neighbors
• Care Level: Moderate

Lighting

Provide low to moderate lighting. Start with gentler exposure during acclimation, then observe the coral’s response before making changes to placement or intensity.

Flow

Use moderate, varied flow. Alternating water movement helps keep the surface clear without concentrating force on one area for extended periods.

Placement

Place it in lower to middle reef areas on a stable mounting surface. Leave open space around the edges for encrusting growth and avoid frequent repositioning while it settles.

Temperament

Give this generally peaceful coral room from neighboring corals. Its encrusting growth can overgrow nearby specimens over time, so maintain clear boundaries and monitor expansion.

Feeding

Light provides primary support. Fine coral foods may be offered optionally, using a measured approach that does not compromise overall water quality.

General Care

Maintain consistent reef conditions and secure the coral where it can remain undisturbed. Watch for new growth along the edges, keep the mounting surface stable, and adjust placement gradually if its response suggests a change is needed.

Plan its footprint early and leave space for steady encrusting growth.
