Ease of Care: Moderate. Scroll corals are generally resilient but need consistent water parameters and moderate lighting to flourish.
Lighting: Moderate. They thrive under moderate lighting conditions which can be provided by T5s, LEDs, or metal halides.
Water Flow: Low to Moderate. A gentle to moderate water flow is recommended to mimic their natural habitat and facilitate feeding.
Water Parameters: Maintain typical saltwater aquarium conditionsātemperatures of 76-82°F, specific gravity of 1.025-1.026, and pH of 8.1-8.4.
Dietary Needs: Photosynthetic with optional feeding. Turbinaria corals benefit from the symbiotic zooxanthellae within their tissues but can also be fed additional nutrients.
Recommended Foods: Microplankton or finely minced marine flesh if supplemental feeding is desired.
Feeding Frequency: Supplemental feeding is not necessary but can be done bi-weekly to promote growth and color.
