Ease of Care: Moderate. Stylocoeniella is somewhat hardy but does best in an established reef aquarium with stable water conditions.
Lighting: Moderate to High. They usually thrive under moderate to high lighting. LED or T5 lights that provide a good spectrum of light can work well.
Water Flow: Moderate to High. A stronger water flow helps keep the coral clean from debris and aids in feeding and gas exchange.
Water Parameters: Stable water parameters are essential. Aim for a temperature range of 75-82Ā°F, specific gravity of 1.025-1.026, and pH of 8.1-8.4. Regular monitoring of calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels is also beneficial.
Dietary Needs: While Stylocoeniella contains zooxanthellae for photosynthesis, they can benefit from additional feeding.
Recommended Foods: Microplankton, finely minced meaty foods, and specialized coral foods can provide additional nutrients.
Feeding Frequency: Targeted feeding once or twice a week is generally sufficient, but be mindful of the water quality.
